Best Value Performance Plan 2007/08.

Best Value Plan East Sussex Fire Authority is committed to driving down risk in local communities, schools and businesses across the whole of East Sussex. Our aim is to make the county of East Sussex a safer place to live and work in.

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service makes a fundamental contribution to the achievement of social, economic and environmental wellbeing within our community. Working proactively in partnership and through the Best Value process, the Service will strive to continually improve service delivery, so as to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.

The essential principle of Best Value is to provide quality services to the standard that the community expects. It is therefore the principal means for the Fire Authority to be held accountable to the community it serves.

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service continues to perform at a high level and we have set targets to maintain these standards in all aspects of our performance. Our achievements and service targets for the future are presented in this Best Value Performance Plan 2007/08.

Five Year Strategic Plan 2007/08 to 2011/12.

5 Year Best Value Plan The Fire Authority Five Year Strategic Plan complements the annual Best Value Performance Plan and gives further information on the priorities for the medium term. This Plan covers the period 2007/08 to 2011/12 with its base year as 2006/07. The Plan builds upon the principles and processes agreed in previous years to ensure that the Fire Authority continues to maintain a strategic planning and risk based focus.

Annual Report & Best Value Performance Plan Summary.

Every year we produce an Annual Report & Best Value Performance Plan Summary which combines news stories that have happened in our area throughout the year, together with summary versions of our BVPP and accounts. The document is distributed widely within the community and used by the Community Fire Stations for open days and community fire safety events.
