Fees & Charges

East Sussex Fire Authority does not charge for 999 emergency services (those that are life threatening or humanitarian).

However in some instances a charge may apply for dealing with certain types which are known as "Special Service" calls.

Table: The following table gives the details of services that will attract charges.

Special Service Calls - Charges with effect from 01 April 2013
1	The hiring of a major appliance with crew per hour			£265.00 + VAT
2	The hiring of other pumping vehicles with crew per hour			£212.00 + VAT
3	The hire of hydraulic platform or turntable ladder with crew per hour			£285.00 + VAT
4	The testing of dry rising mains etc:	Initial test on new main		Nil
		Subsequent test at the owner's request	First Dry Riser	£196.00 + VAT
			Additional dry risers	£127.00 + VAT
5	Interviews: Insurance Co. etc		Minimum	£127.00 per hour No VAT
			After two hours	£82.00 per hour No VAT
6	Copy of Petroleum Licences			£30.00 No VAT
7	Copy plans			£35.00 No VAT
8	Standby at Venues per hour			£265.00 + VAT
9	Fire Investigation Report			£284.00 + VAT
10	Chemical Protection Suits			£147.00 + VAT
11	Inspection of Plans for Marriage Act 1994			£108.00 No VAT
12	Environmental search fees			£103.00 No VAT
