We are working in partnership with CRI - External Link, Opens in new tab. - a health and social care charity that works with individuals, families and communities across England and Wales that are affected by drugs, alcohol, crime, homelessness, domestic abuse, and anti-social behaviour.
CRI's - External Link, Opens in new tab. projects, delivered in communities and prisons, encourage and empower people to regain control of their lives and motivate them to tackle their problems.
CRI - External Link, Opens in new tab. is working in partnership with us by becoming a member of the Care Providers Fire Safety Scheme and we have agreed to sponsor some lockable medication boxes.
Mike Pattinson, Operations Director for CRI - External Link, Opens in new tab., said:
"Our clients can be at a higher risk from fire. By working with ESFRS we can raise awareness and help ensure the safety of local residents."
Andy Reynolds, Director of Prevention and Protection for ESFRS, said:
"This is a wonderful opportunity for us to work in partnership. I am delighted to be able to sponsor the lockable medication boxes to show our commitment to make the partnership work and to be effective.
"Both services are working with the same target audience and, through closer working and distribution of the boxes, I am hopeful that a joint home safety visit will make people safer in their homes and reduce their vulnerability to fire."
CRI - External Link, Opens in new tab. has also utilised the partnership to ensure the Substance Misuse Service Team has received free fire safety awareness training to enable them to identify early dangers and to refer them to us.
