About Us

Public Consultation

East Sussex Fire Authority is committed to seeking the views of local people and to ensuring that what we do reflects the views of our local communities.

We carry out a range of consultations which focus around service delivery issues and assist us in monitoring our progress against the Authority's corporate objectives.

Why Consult?

  • Effective consultation enables us to:
  • Better understand the needs of local people
  • Make more efficient use of public resources
  • Carry out evidence-based decision making, and
  • Over time, can be used to measure our performance in delivering high quality services and improving the safety of our local communities.

School Visit Survey
A customer satisfaction questionnaire where opinions are sought on the importance and satisfaction of the visit to judge the effectiveness of the service provided

Fire Safety Audit Survey
A customer satisfaction questionnaire sent to commercial/ business premises asking for an evaluation of their experience of the service provided

When: No dates at present for 2012

After the Incident Survey
A customer satisfaction questionnaire sent to members of the public who have received our services at an incident

When: Ongoing throughout the year

South East Regional Fire and Rescue Service Survey
A telephone customer satisfaction survey investigate what people think about fire and rescue services in the South East.

When: This survey is running from the 08 April 2011 until 26 June 2011.

Service Planning Consultation with Stakeholders & the Public
We consult with stakeholders, partners and the public on our plans for the future in the form of focus groups, telephone surveys and written questionnaires.

When: No dates at present for 2011

Partnership Working

We are developing links with our local councils in terms of sharing information and results, as well as looking at having joint programmes of consultation activity.
