East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called at 8.14pm on 19 March 2024 to reports of an industrial building fire in Theaklen Drive, St Leonards-on-Sea.
At the height of the incident four fire engines were in attendance with firefighters from Hastings Bohemia Road, Bexhill and Broad Oak using two breathing apparatus, one main jet and one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
Crews acted swiftly and the fire was extinguished by 9.01pm, followed by cutting away and damping down. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. The incident was then scaled down to one appliance.
There were no reports of any casualties.
The cause of the fire is unknown and a fire investigation will take place in due course.
