Marlie Farm Ongoing Investigation

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service have been made aware that two men have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the Police investigation into the Marlie Farm explosion on December 3rd 2006.

It is understood that they were questioned after voluntarily attending Eastbourne custody centre on Tuesday 12th February 2008 and subsequently released on police bail.

The Police and Health and Safety Executives investigations into the Marlie Farm explosion are still ongoing and so it is not appropriate for us to make any further comment at this stage.

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service internal investigation is also still continuing and we will continue to support the families, friends and colleagues of all those affected by the incident at Marlie Farm.
