1987 Recruits Reunion

Firefighters from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, who joined the Service in 1987 recently celebrated a 20-year reunion!

All 14 firefighters who were part of the 17th East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service recruits course attended the event, organised by Richard Chamberlain Watch Manager at Preston Circus Fire Station. The event was held at the John Harvey Tavern in Lewes on 28th February 2008.

Richard Chamberlain commented,

“It was great to see so many old friends and colleagues that you have formed a close bond with over the years.”

All of the 1987 recruits still work for Fire & Rescue Services, with all but one still with East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service.
