It has been announced that Diana Williams, Assistant Chief Officer (Corporate Services) has been awarded the MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours, for services to local government.

Diana Williams, who has worked for over 30 years in local government, started her career in Brighton & Hove, then moved to East Sussex County Council and has spent the last 15 years with East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Diana has been a truly dedicated member of East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, always giving her time to local community initiatives and has been a great advocate and champion of the work and staff of the Service.
