Colourful artwork created by pupils at Albourne, Billingshurst and Bolney Schools appears in the Road Safety Competition 2009 calendar produced by the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP).

The drawings showcase a mixture of road safety messages and reflect the dangers on Sussex roads as seen through children's eyes. Neil Hopkins, Communications Manager for the SSRP, said: "The standard of work showed us that children are very aware of road safety issues. The designs we've chosen will provide a helpful reminder to the driving public of the concerns of the young people of the county."

The winning designs feature on 6,000 calendars to be distributed at SSRP events and to businesses, schools, police stations, local authority offices and homes throughout Sussex.
