Firefighters from Crowborough community fire station will be holding a fundraising activity at Morrisons supermarket in Crowborough on Saturday, 7th March.

The fundraiser is primarily intended to raise valuable resources for Operation Florian.

Operation Florian was established as a charity in 1995 (Charity Number 1054657). It is a UK Fire Service Humanitarian Charity working internationally to promote the protection of life among communities in need through the provision of equipment and training to improve fire fighting and rescue capabilities.

Firefighter Vajrasiddhi of Crowborough community fire station, said: "Under Operation Florian's backing, two firefighters from Crowborough community fire station will be delivering an ex-East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service fire appliance to Macedonia in May this year.

Firefighters from Crowborough previously conducted a similar event last month and the money raised from both events will be distributed between Operation Florian & The Fire Fighters Charity."

This Saturday's event will take place in the foyer of Morrisons in Crowborough where firefighters and representatives from the charity will be on hand to chat about Operation Florian and any other fire and safety questions.
