Firefighters from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service have been out in force to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity and Operation Florian.

Through participating in The Fire Fighters Charity's National Car Wash and also in separate fundraising activities at local supermarkets, the firefighters have raised almost £4,000 for charity in recent weeks.

Firefighters from Crowborough community fire station raised over £2,400 for Operation Florian and The Fire Fighters Charity through two fund-raising activities at Tesco and Morrisons supermarkets in Crowborough!

Meanwhile firefighters from Wadhurst community fire station raised £900 for The Fire Fighters Charity through their participation in the National Car Wash. This year's National Car Wash was Wadhurst's most successful to date, with the firefighters managing to clean up the competition with an amazing 92 cars washed!

Furthermore, firefighters from Roedean community fire station successfully raised £317 and the Forest Row crews collected an equally impressive £273 for The Fire Fighters Charity in their car washes!

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service would like to congratulate each of their colleagues who were involved in these and the many other fundraising activities that are held across the County.
