Comic Relief TV Presenter Thanks Wadhurst Firefighters!

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service employees raised a grand total of £565 for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day 2009 appeal!
Firefighters from Wadhurst received a surprise visit and "Well done!" from local resident and Comic Relief TV Presenter, Davina McCall, as they collected donations at Wadhurst train station on Saturday 14th March.
The firefighters also visited the village and local secondary school to boost their Comic Relief funds.
In total, Crew Managers Brockman and Percival and firefighters Gouldsworthy, Henderson, Meakins and Humphries raised a total of £410 for Comi Relief!
Elsewhere, at East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters in Eastbourne, a cake sale, balloon sculpting and a supply of red noses led the way for fundraising activities and support staff were encouraged to wear something red on Red Nose Day.
The Service's support staff managed to raise £155 for the charity!
