Football League Awards Success

07 April 2009

Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club and the Coaching for a Safer Community team had cause for celebration at the 2009 Football League Awards ceremony after receiving recognition for the club's tremendous work in the community.

Albion in the Community (AITC) is the charitable arm of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club and works in the community to improve lives through football, education and health initiatives. AITC received the Highly Commended Award in the Community Club of the Year category to acknowledge their involvement with initiatives in Sussex and beyond, including East and West Sussex Fire & Rescue Services' Coaching for a Safer Community initiative.

AITC Director Alan Sanders said: "We're delighted that we've received recognition. It is testament to the hard work of everyone involved in all of our projects. We're always looking for new initiatives to improve and expand what we do but at the same time making sure we maintain the quality of our current projects in the community."

The Coaching for a Safer Community team and East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service would like to offer AITC their congratulations!
