On Tuesday 19th May, the Blazing Paddles Team from Eastbourne community fire station held a fundraising pub quiz in support of St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne.

The quiz was held at the Bibendum pub in Eastbourne and entry fees alone raised £261! Further collections were made through the sale of prize draw tickets.

Congratulations go to 'Quizzie Rascals' came first place with 97 points and donated the winning prize fund back to the charity! 'Princess and Her Peas' hotly followed as runners-up with 89 points.

On 24th May, led by Eastbourne community fire station's Matt Harrison, the Blazing Paddles and friends will kayak approximately 20 miles along the River Ouse to raise further funds for St Wilfrid's Hospice.

A big 'Well Done' goes to the Blazing Paddles Team for organising an excellent evening of fun and games. We wish them the best of luck on the River Ouse!
