Lewes Community Fire Station Open Day - 13th June 2009

10 June 2009

Lewes community fire station is working in partnership with The Rotary Club of Lewes Castle to support Lewes Carnival Day on Saturday 13th June.

A fire appliance will be taking part in the town's carnival procession from County Hall to Malling Brooks playing field.

The procession will start at 12.30pm.

Following this, fire crews will be on hand at the Malling Brooks show ground between 1:30-4pm where they will be displaying fire appliances, the fire bike and other equipment and resources which are used throughout the Service.

In addition to offering home safety advice, the emphasis this year will be on the National Drink Drive Campaign which supports our Borough priority of working with partners to reduce road traffic collisions and to deliver a safer community.

A number of fun interactive activities will be available on the day to raise awareness of these issues.

Please come along to Malling Brooks playing field to meet your local fire crew and find out more about keeping your community safe!
