Preston Circus, Brighton, Community Fire Station Open Day 2007.

The doors of Preston Circus Community Fire Station in Brighton will be open to the public this Saturday (11th August 2007) for the station’s annual open day.

As well as taking a closer look at fire engines, visitors will be able to talk to the firefighters about their work and see them in action. There will be a range of demonstrations including pump and ladder drills, 100ft ariel ladder displays and a road traffic collision demonstration.

It will also be an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a retained firefighter to get more information. Fire crews will be happy to answer any questions and talk about what the job involves.

Firefighters from Brighton are keen to make the open day both fun and educational and representatives from the Children’s Burns Trust will be there on the day to offer support, guidance and advice to the communities of Brighton.

With families in mind, crews have also organised childrens interactive games, a raffle, bbq, stalls, competitions and lots more.

Preston Circus Community Fire Station, Preston Circus, Brighton, BN1 4NZ 10am until 4pm.
