Liz Turnbull outlined; "One of our main aims in Sussex has always been to support the work of Peanut Ward, the paediatric centre at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. This is a specialist plastic surgery unit and the donation from Sussex Police will greatly assist us in our work. We are very grateful for their help and support." Following almost a year of fundraising, firefighters from East & West Sussex recently took 28 patients from the Peanut Ward for a fun filled, action packed weekend at the Isle of Wight. It was undoubtedly a huge success and Liz Turnbull offered thanks to fire crews from both East and West Sussex, for volunteering their time, energy and commitment to the weekend. |
