Station Open Days |

|
Station open days have been a huge success this year; with all twenty-four stations throwing open their doors and welcoming in the general public from around the County of East Sussex and the City of Brighton & Hove. Its been a great opportunity for local children to meet their hero's and some youngsters even arrived in fire service costumes that their parents or carers had made for them. As well as taking a closer look at fire engines, visitors were able to talk to fire crews about their work and see them in action. A range of demonstrations were shown including pump and ladder drills, 100ft Ariel ladder displays and road traffic collision demonstration. It was also an ideal opportunity for the general public who were interested in becoming a retained fire-fighter to gather more information. Fire crews have worked energetically and tirelessly in their task to organise these events and their efforts have been instrumental in further integrating East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service into the communities we serve. |
