Administrative Assistant (Community Fire Safety)
Eastbourne HQ, 37 hours per week
A new opportunity has arisen within East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service for an individual to provide an efficient, effective and professional administrative support service to the Community Fire Safety team. This team makes a specific contribution to community safety by reducing the devastating impact that death, injury and destruction of property has on people´s lives.
Specific duties will include:
- Providing high quality word processing and administrative support.
- Inputting relevant data and producing reports.
- Diary management of members of the team.
- Receiving and processing enquiries from members of the public, including vulnerable persons.
Applicants must be educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, possess RSA level 2 or equivalent in typing and have good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Access. Experience of an office environment providing administrative support is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to work to tight deadlines by prioritising and managing variable workloads, possess excellent communication and numerical skills and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
