Rural Review - Special Meeting of East Sussex Fire Authority

Thursday 21st October at 10:30am

A special meeting of the Fire Authority is to be held on Thursday 21st October at 10:30am at the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, 20 Upperton Road, Eastbourne, to consider the outcomes from its consultations on the draft recommendations arising from the Rural Review.

This Review has taken a year to complete, followed by a period of extensive local consultation and engagement with our partners, public and staff on a list of draft recommendations about the effectiveness of current service arrangements and proposed future provision of services in the more rural parts of East Sussex. The review covered the Lewes, Rother and Wealden areas of East Sussex.

Members of the public who are interested in this issue are warmly invited to attend the meeting.

Agendas will be available nearer the time. If you wish to attend the meeting we would be extremely grateful if you could let the Clerk to the Fire Authority know so we can forward any relevant information or paperwork to you in advance of the meeting.

Please note that there is no public parking available at our Service Headquarters. However, we may be able to reserve a few spaces for people requiring disabled parking facilities on a first come, first served basis. Please also note that the Fire Authority meeting room can only accommodate a fixed number of people for reasons of safety so, again, you are asked to bear this in mind. Local partners such as Town and Parish Councils have also been invited to the meeting in order to represent local interests.
