Incident Roundup 4th/5th November

Over the weekend, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service responded to a number of incidents:

On 4th November at 10:07, Bexhill firefighters were called to Collington Wood Field, Bexhill following reports of a dog trapped next to the railway track.  One dog was rescued.            

On 4th November at 10:48, firefighters from Hove and Brighton attended a residential property on Melrose Avenue, Portslade following reports of a small fire.  Firefighters extinguished a small fire emanating from a plug socket.  Electrics were isolated. 

At 11:25 on 4th November, Newhaven firefighters rescued a dog trapped under decking at a property on Cairo Avenue, Peacehaven. 

At 18:18 on 4th November, crews from Roedean attended an RTC on Warren Road, Brighton.  The RTC involved two vehicles.  No persons were trapped and firefighters made the area safe.             

At 19:38 on 4th November, crews from Roedean attended a fire in the open at Brighton Racecourse, Brighton.  Beaters were used to extinguish the fire.            

At 19:53 on 4th November, firefighters from The Ridge and Hastings attended a fire affecting the side of a property on Rye Road, Hastings.  Crews extinguished the fire and a home safety visit was undertaken.      

At 20:03 on 4th November, crews from Rye attended a bin fire at a holiday park in Camber.  Fire was extinguished.                 

At 23:37 on 4th November, Bexhill firefighters attended a car fire on Wickham Avenue, Bexhill.  One breathing apparatus and a high powered hose reel was used to extinguish the fire,               

At 03:11 on 5th November, Eastbourne firefighters attended a van fire on Norway Road, Eastbourne.  One high pressure hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.        

At 03:41 on 5th November, Brighton firefighters attended a small fire on Brighton beach.  One high pressure hose reel was used to extinguish the fire. 

At 08:47 on 5th November, crews from Hove attended an RTC at Humphrey’s Gap, Shoreham By Sea.  One person was trapped and released by crews.      

At 11:22 on 5th November, crews from Hove and Brighton attended a fire at a property on Laburnum Avenue, Hove.  The fire was located on the first floor of the property.  All residents were evacuated.  Four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one 45mm jet and one positive pressure ventilation fan were used.           

At 13:10 on 5th November, crews from Brighton, Lewes and Battle were called to attend an RTC involving two vehicles on Victoria Road, Brighton.  One vehicle had hit a house but there was no damage to the structure.  No person were trapped and crews made the scene safe.                 

At 16:49 on 5th November, Bexhill firefighters attended a fire in the open on Glenleigh Park Road, Bexhill.  Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish an out of control bonfire.               

At 17:11 on 5th November, crews from Eastbourne attended a fire in the open on Shanklin Close, Eastbourne.  One flexpack was used.         

At 17:54 on 5th November, Brighton firefighters attended a chimney fire on Princes Crescent, Brighton.  A chimney kit was used and a home safety visit was undertaken.         

At 18:34 on 5th November, crews from Brighton attended a flooding on Oriental Place, Brighton.  Firefighters isolated the leak.             

At 18:41 on 5th November, Hasting firefighters attended a fire in the open on Bohemia road, Hastings.  One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.         

At 19:07 on 5th November, crews from Uckfield and Newhaven attended a fire in a shed on Station Road, Isfield.  The shed was believed to contain a small amount of fireworks and was well alight on arrival.  One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.   

At 20:08 on 5th November, Newhaven firefighters attended a bin fire on Greenwich Way, Peacehaven.                

At 23:29 on 5th November, firefighters from Lewes attended an RTC on Offham Road, Lewes.  One car was involved and had overturned.  No persons were trapped.  Crews made the scene safe. 

At 04:20 on 6th November, crews from Hove attended a bin fire on Cambridge Road, Hove.  One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.        

At 04:53 on 6th November, Brighton firefighters attended a bin fire on St Nicholas Road, Brighton.  One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.               

At 05:01 on 6th November, crews from Hove attended a bin fire on Nizells Avenue, Hove.  Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.    

At 05:05 on 6th November, Brighton firefighters attended a bin fire on Queens Road, Brighton.  One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.
