One fire engine remains on the scene of a fire at St Leonards.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called at 16.03 on 5 October 2017 to reports of smoke issuing from a building on London Road.
Eight breathing apparatus and hose reels were used to tackle the fire which was at a property consisting of a flat above a shop.
Six fire engines have been sent to the scene but as of 18.30 only one remains.
The official "Stop" message has been received. A re-inspection is planned for 21.00.
There are no reports of injuries.
A fire investigation has found the cause was accidental.
