Don’t miss out on an exciting opportunity if your child is home educated.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service want to make sure that home educated children don’t get overlooked when it comes to  the free Safety in Action events being held in March 2019 in Bexhill and Hastings.

Invitations have gone out to all the Primary Schools in Rother and Hastings, but do you know any home educated children aged 8 to 12 years of age?

All home educated children are welcome to take part in the highly successful “Safety in Action” project, where children actively participate and learn how to deal with dangerous situations in a safe and controlled environment.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue, Sussex Police,  Ambulance Service, School Nurse team, Southern Rail  and others are all working together to teach children about safety and crime prevention.

The project will take place at Bexhill Fire station during the week of 11th March and Hastings Bohemia Road station during the week of 25th March.

Anyone who would like to book a half-day session for home educated children please contact Sophie.hepworth@esfrs.org

Each child taking part will receive a participation certificate and information relating to safety issues. This is a free event.

Children must be accompanied by their parent/carer or teacher.
