Fire- Eastbourne Road, Westham

At 15:00, crews from Battle, Bexhill, The Ridge, Hastings, Eastbourne and Seaford were called to a fire at a car maintenance unit on Eastbourne Road, Westham.

Firefighters are using four breathing apparatus, 1 in 7 foam and a main jet to extinguish the fire.  

One casualty was handed over in to the care of SECAMB after suffering from smoke inhalation.  A Fire Investigation Officer has been requested to attend.  

Update- 15:50- Crews have extinguished the fire.  Two engines are still in attendance dampening down the scene.   Three casualties were handed over in to the care of SECAMB suffering from smoke inhalation.  The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
