Award-winning Safety in Action shortly arrives in Hastings, following on from the huge success of the recent events held at Bexhill Community Fire Station.
Home-educated children are also being encouraged to attend, with more than 30 already signing up this month.
The Hastings events will take place from the 25th to 29th March at Bohemia Road Community Fire Station, Hastings.
Service’s Health Co-ordinator, Sophie Hepworth, said: “We had a good response to invitations for home educated children to attend our Safety in Action events in the Hastings and Rother areas. More than 30 home educated children will be attending these events in March.
“We would now like to invite home educated children in other areas to join in, so do you know any home educated children aged 8 to 12 years of age?”
East Sussex Fire and Rescue, Sussex Police, Ambulance Service, School Nurse team, Southern Rail and others are all working together to teach children about safety and crime prevention.
The project will also be taking place at Newhaven Fort in May, Herstmonceux Castle and Bowles Outdoor Centre, Crowborough in June; and Hove Fire station in July.
Each child taking part will receive a participation certificate and information relating to safety issues. This is a free event.
Children must be accompanied by their parent/carer or teacher. Siblings outside the age range are welcome but must be closely supervised by the parent or carer.
