Hastings & Rother Community Fire Stations will be supporting the 16 days of events to mark White Ribbon Day.
The launch was held on 25 November at The Ridge Community Fire Station and Group Manager, Julie King, offered a few words of support.
“Welcome to The Ridge Fire Station, ESFRS are delighted to host the event today that starts 16 days of engagement against violence to women and girls.
“This year’s theme of creating a future without male violence against women is, I am sure, a future that we all want for everyone.
“We will actively take part with all the planned events that are taking place across Hastings and Rother over the next 16 days and will encourage our staff to engage in these events and to also take the pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.”
The 16 days of action is a joint initiative by ESFRS, alongside Safer Hastings & Safer Rother Community Safety Partnership, raising awareness to pledge not condoning domestic abuse in all its forms, not just violence against women. #WhiteRibbonDay#HastingsandRotherWRD19
