Overnight incident round-up 12th April
Overnight, East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended a variety of incidents:-
- At 17:50, firefighters from Roedean and Brighton attended a building on Manchester Street, Brighton following reports of eleven people trapped in a lift. Crews released the people.
- At 18:24, Hove firefighters attended Portland Road, Hove following reports of a car leaking fuel. Crews isolated the leak and made the scene safe.
- At 18:35, Eastbourne firefighters attended a fire in the open on Rosebery Avenue, Eastbourne. Crews extinguished the fire.
- At 18:37, Brighton firefighters attended Preston Park, Brighton following reports of one person trapped in a swing. Crews released the person.
- At 20:31, firefighters from Uckfield attended a chimney fire on Nursery Lane, Fairwarp. Crews used a chimney kit and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
- At 00:06, Brighton firefighters attended a flooding in a residential building on John Street, Brighton. Crews isolated the flood and made the scene safe.
- At 03:23, firefighters from Eastbourne, Pevensey, Hailsham, Bexhill and Hastings attended a fire in a residential building on Arundel Road, Eastbourne. The fire had emanated from an electrical intake. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and 1 in 7 foam to extinguish the fire.
- At 04:09, Hastings firefighters attended a bin fire in Warrior Square, St Leonards. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
