Overnight Incident Round-Up 14 May
East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service attended a variety of overnight incidents:
- At 17.20 yesterday (13 May) Forest Row firefighters were called out to assist with the rescue of a dog at a property in Lewes Road, which had jumped out of a window and onto an extension of a roof. A Triple Extenstion Ladder was used by firefighters to rescue the pet.
- At 18.18 yesterday (13 May) Eastbourne firefighters extinguished a fire in the open, which had spread to a garden fence. One hose reel jet was used.
- At 18.23 yesterday (13 May) firefighters were sent to rescue one person from a lift at a property in Orchard Way, East Grinstead.
- At 18.38 yesterday (13 May) Uckfield firefighters were called to a false alarm at Uckfield Community Hospital, in Framfield Road, Uckfield.
- At 18.55 yesterday (13 May) Brighton firefighters were sent to Richmond Place, in Brighton, due to an automatic fire alarm being set-off. A Home Safety Visit was carried out.
- At 19.30 yesterday (13 May) Lewes firefighters were sent to a property in Court Road, Lewes, after an alarm was set-off by overheated food. A Home Safety Visit was carried out.
- At 19.39 yesterday (13 May) Brighton firefighters were sent to Portland Place, in Brighton, due to an alarm being set-off by a system fault.
- At 21.03 yesterday (13 May) Pevensey firefighters were mobilised to a false alarm at a commercial property in Kingfisher Drive, Eastbourne.
- At 21.21 yesterday (13 May) Brighton firefighters rescued one person who was locked inside their property in Egremont Place, Brighton.
- At 22.10 yesterday (13 May) Hove firefighters were sent to a property in Vallance Gardens, in Hove, after an alarm was set-off by overheated food.
- At 5.04 this morning (13 May) Roedean firefighters were sent to assist at a road traffic collision in Dukes Mound, Brighton. They made the scene safe.
- At 6.46 this morning (13 May) Roedean firefighters were sent to Queens Park, in Brighton, where they extinguished a park bench fire.
