Overnight Incident round-up 18 June

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were sent to eleven false alarms overnight in Battle, Crowborough, Polegate, Brighton, Hastings and Lewes.

Overnight crews were also sent to a variety of other incidents: 

  •  At 19.14 yesterday (17 June) Hastings firefighters were sent to Malvery Way, following reports of a fire in the open, which was out on arrival. 
  • At 21.23 yesterday (17 June) Eastbourne firefighters were sent to Pevensey Bay Road, in Eastbourne, due to a fire in the open, which transpired to be controlled burning. 
  • At 21.25 yesterday (17 June) Seaford firefighters were sent to reports of a fire in Normansal Park Avenue, in Seaford, but nothing was found. 
  • At 22.03 yesterday (17 June) a crew were sent to London Road, St Leonards, following reports of a fire in the open, which transpired to be controlled burning. 
  • At 22.04 yesterday (17 June) Lewes firefighters were sent to Clevedown Barons Down Road, Lewes, due to reports of a fire, caused by overheated food, but there was no fire. A Home Safety Visit was carried out at the property. 
  • At 22.15 yesterday (17 June) Hastings firefighters were sent to Ochiltree Road, Hastings, due to an accidental bin fire in the open. The crew used one hose reel jet to tackle the fire. 
  • At 3.07 this morning (18 June) Hastings firefighters were sent to Falaise Road, in Hastings, due to reports of a motorcycle leaking fuel. The crew made the scene safe. 
  • At 3.11 this morning (18 June) Eastbourne firefighters were sent to Milton Road, Eastbourne, were sent to a car fire in Milton Road, Eastbourne. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using one hose reel jet and one foam jet.
