Overnight incident round-up 23rd October

Date : 23 October 2019

Overnight, East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended a variety of incidents:-

  • At 18:44, Bexhill firefighters attended an RTC involving one car and one van on A259 Little Common Road, Bexhill.  Crews made the scene safe.             
  • At 19:45, Brighton firefighters attended a fire in a residential property on Bear Road, Brighton.  Crews used two Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel Jet to extinguish a fire in the kitchen area.  Crews then used a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan to clear the property of smoke.     
  • At 20:56, Eastbourne firefighters attended a flooding in a residential property on Seaside, Eastbourne.  Crews used a submersible pump to clear the flood water.       
  • At 05:59, firefighters from Lewes and Brighton attended A27 (Wesbound- Kingston Roundabout) following reports of a vehicle fire.  Crews used 1 in 7 foam to extinguish the fire.
