Overnight incident round-up 28th November

Overnight, East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended a variety of incidents:-

  • At 17:56, Hastings firefighters attended a fire in a public toilets on Dordrecht Way, Hastings.  Crews used two Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire.  Crews then used a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan to clear the building of smoke.             
  • At 20:00, firefighters from Hastings and The Ridge attended a residential building on Warrior Square, Hastings followings reports of a fire on a balcony.  Crews used one Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire.            
  • At 22:43, firefighters from Burwash and Battle supported Kent Fire and Rescue in attending an RTC involving one vehicle on A229, Hurst Green.  One car was in a ditch and one person was trapped.  Crews released one casualty using a hydraulic rescue equipment.
  • At 02:18, Bexhill firefighters attended a residential property on Cooper Drive, Bexhill following reports of a flooding affecting electrics.  Crews isolated the flood and electrics.
