Overnight incident round-up 30th May
Overnight, East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended a variety of incidents:-
- At 17:03, Brighton firefighters attended a residential building on Dyke Road, Brighton following reports of persons shut in a lift. Crews released two people.
- At 17:29, firefighters from Newhaven and Seaford attended a supermarket on Dane Road, Seaford following reports of persons shut in a lift. Crews released one person.
- At 18:09, firefighters from Crowborough attended an RTC involving one motorcycle on Duddleswell Road, Duddleswell. One casualty was taken to hospital. Crews made the scene safe. Highways Agency dealt with the cleaning up of the fuel spillage.
- At 22:38, Roedean firefighters attended a residential property on South Coast Road, Telscombe Cliffs following reports of a flooding affecting electrics. Crews isolated the leak and electrics and carried out a Home Safety Visit.
- At 04:47, firefighters from The Ridge, Hastings, Rye, Broad Oak, Battle, Bexhill, Lewes and Burwash attended a fire in a derelict building on Mount Denys, The Ridge, Hastings. The fire emanated from the first floor. Crews used four Breathing Apparatus, two Main Jets and an Aerial Ladder Platform to extinguish the fire.
