East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended a number of incidents overnight.
At 19:09 on 30 July 2019, two fire engines attended Bolsover Road, Eastbourne. Three people who were stuck in a lift were released.
At 20:58, a fire engine attended Chailey Common Nature Reserve on North Common Road in Chailey following reports of a road traffic collision. A car was stuck in a car park, unable to exit due to a roofbox. Crews removed the roofbox.
At 23:37, a fire engine attended Shirley Drive, Hove. A car had hit a bollard. The scene was made safe. The Highways Agency was requested as cables had been exposed. The incident was left with police.
At 04:05 on 31 July, a fire engine attended Preston Street in Brighton where there was flooding in a building. It had been caused by a small leak from external flower bed waterers. The leak isolated
At 04:22, a fire engine attended The Strand in Brighton Marina. A camper van and a car were alight. Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
