Overnight incident round-up 4th September

Overnight, East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended a variety of incidents:-

  • At 19:05, Hove firefighters assisted West Sussex Fire and Rescue with a fire in the open on Devils Dyke Road, Poynings. The caller used ‘what3words’ app which pinpointed the location to our Control Centre.  Crews used one Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire.          
  • At 19:55, Eastbourne firefighters attended Briar Place, Eastbourne following reports of a fire in the open.  Crews arrived to find one digger well alight.  Firefighters used 1 in 7 foam to extinguish the fire. 
  • At 21:38, firefighters from Hailsham and Herstmonceux attended an RTC involving one vehicle on A22 Golden Cross, Chiddingly.  Crews made the scene safe.            
  • At 23:33, Forest Row firefighters attended a fire in the open on Edenbridge Road, Hartfield.  Crews used one Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire. 
  • At 03:38, Brighton firefighters attended a residential property on Old Patcham Mews, Brighton following reports of a flooding.  Crews isolated the leak.
