Weekend incident round-up 13th and 14th April
Over the weekend, East Sussex Fire and rescue attended a variety of incidents:-
Saturday 13th April
- At 14:34, firefighters from Brighton attended a building on North Road, Brighton following reports of persons stuck in a lift. Crews released three people.
- At 18:07, Hove firefighters attended a fire in the garden of a residential property on Woodland Drive, Brighton. Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, crews carried out a Home Safety Visit.
- At 19:19, Eastbourne firefighters attended a building on Arundel Road, Eastbourne following reports of persons stuck in a lift. Crews released two people.
- At 19:20, firefighters from Lewes attended a fire in the open on Eridge Green, Lewes. Crews used one hose reel to extinguish a fence fire. Once the fire was extinguished, crews carried out a Home Safety Visit.
- At 20:21, Eastbourne firefighters attended a building on Bermuda Place, Eastbourne following reports of persons shut in a lift. Crews released five people.
- At 23:09, firefighters from The Ridge attended a fire in the open on Victoria Avenue, Hastings. Crews used buckets of water to extinguish the fire.
Sunday 14 th April
- At 06:10, firefighters from Roedean and Brighton attended a fire in a residential property on Albion Street, Brighton. A pan fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel. One resident was assisted from the property.
- At 06:55, firefighters from Newhaven and Brighton attended a building on Swanborough Drive, Brighton following reports of persons shut in a lift. Crews released one person.
- At 11:41, Lewes firefighters attended a residential property on High Street, Lewes following reports of a flooding. Crews isolated the leak and carried out salvage.
- At 14:59, Brighton firefighters attended a residential property on Lansdowne Place, Hove following reports of a flooding. Crews isolated the leak.
- At 15:14, firefighters from Newhaven attended a fire in the open on Sutton Drove, Seaford. Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish an unattended bonfire.
- At 17:23, Eastbourne firefighters attended a fire in the open on Rowan Court, Polegate. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
