East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is taking a number of steps to ensure it continues to provide an emergency service and safety advice to the public and businesses during the coming weeks.
ESFRS has well established contingency plans in place and is working closely with the Sussex Resilience Forum, health and local authority partners and following Government updates.
In line with national guidance, we have taken a number of decisions to help manage the current situation.
These include postponing open days and other public events held on our fire stations, prioritising home safety visits and business safety inspections for those at most risk of fire, and increasing our campaigns and communications activity to share useful fire and rescue service advice.
Our website has a range of educational information which can be used by schools and parents, as well as advice for businesses and individuals.

We remain ready to respond to emergencies and will continue to work hard to prevent them.
