Crews have now left the scene of a fire in Blackboys where firefighters have been in attendance throughout the night.
At its height, eight appliances were on the scene of the fire on Lewes Road, Blackboys. The initial call came in at 23.03 last night (18 October) to attend the incident at a commercial property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel, one main jet and 1 in 7 foam to extinguish the fire.
Crews sectorised the fire and it was under control by 3am. However, crews remained at the incident until 7.48am this morning, when the last fire engine left the scene. A fire investigation will take place this morning.
