Do you care for a loved one, a family member who has lost their independence through illness, disability or age?
Would you know what to do in the event of a fire, would your loved one respond or be able to respond to a fire or fire alarm?
We believe that by working together, we can reduce fire deaths and injuries of vulnerable people.
Richard Broady from the carers training team stated “It is important that carers think about and observe the fire dangers within the home, so that in the event of an emergency all occupants can escape or remain safe.”
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is offering a FREE online course giving fire safety advice and safety tips for the home to make your loved one safer. The course lasts for one hour and will offer advice on general fire safety, bedtime routines and escape plans.
