At 11:05, firefighters from Heathfield, Uckfield, Battle & Wadhurst attended Herrings Lane, Heathfield following reports of a light aircraft crash. Upon arrival, crews found one small aircraft had crashed in to a field.
Crews used 1 in 7 foam to extinguish the fire. Crews left the scene at 11:25. SECAMB & Sussex Police are currently on scene.
