Reinspection at Scene of Brede Fire

Date : 14 September 2020

A reinspection will take place later today at the scene of a fire at a property in Brede, which broke out yesterday (13 September).

Crews were initially called to the incident involving a house in Cackle Street, Brede, at 10.53am yesterday after reports of a curtain alight.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and firefighting foam to tackle the incident.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Initially four appliances were mobilised, which escalated to six appliances, but later scaled back to one appliance at 9.50pm.

This morning a reinspection of the incident took place and a further re-inspection will be carried out later today (14 September).

As with all fires of this type, a full fire investigation will be carried out in due course.
