On Saturday 23rd January at 11:43am, Green Watch Lewes were called out to Hereward Way, Lewes to rescue a trapped dog.
14 year old ‘Rosie’ the Patterdale Terrier had managed to get herself stuck six feet down in a hole in the embankment.
Crews used a snake eye camera to locate her and spades to dig her out but it was her favourite treats that finally coaxed Rosie out of the hole.
Rosie’s owner was overjoyed to get his faithful companion back safe and sound. Rosie returned home for some cuddles and her favourite tea, chicken.
Well done to Green Watch (Watch Manager Andy Watson, Firefighter Alex Edwards and Crew Manager Mick Saunders) for successfully completing Operation Rescue Rosie!
