The High Sheriff of East Sussex Jane King, visited Uckfield Community Fire Station during a Fire cadet session.
She watched while the cadets undertook a parade drill and demonstrated hose running.
The High Sheriff was introduced to Cadet Amber Valentine who has been chosen to be the High Sheriff’s Fire Cadet. Amber will accompany and support the High Sheriff on some of her duties and visits.
Amber is studying a public service course and aims to join the fire service in the future. She is delighted and excited to be the first East Sussex Fire Cadet to take on this role.
