One of East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s fire stations hopes August will prove a busy time.
Burwash Community Fire Station is opening its doors every Tuesday morning between 10am until noon throughout August.
The local crew will be on hand to answer questions, provide a cup of tea and have a chat about how they can help make the local area safer.
Children are very welcome.

Burwash is crewed by on call firefighters and there will also be a chance for people to find out more about the role.
On-call firefighters are ordinary people that combine their day jobs with being on call for Fire and Rescue situations and emergencies. When the call comes in, they drop what they are doing and become part of the East Sussex Fire and Rescue team.
It's an important commitment, but an immensely rewarding way to serve the community, keep the public safe and earn an extra income.

The community fire station is on Shrub Lane, Burwash, Etchingham TN19 7BW. Please note there isn't much space for parking, so you may find it easiest to get a spot on the main road.
