East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is reminding people about the free support it offers as part of its Save Safely campaign.

Making sure home is a safe place is important for everyone, especially if you have a long-term health condition or dementia, a young family, are an older person or a smoker.  

One way to help make your home a safer space is to request a free home fire safety visit from one of our firefighters or specialist team.

We are particularly keen to visit you if any of these apply to you or someone in the household:

• aged 70 or over 
• living with dementia  
• have a long term health condition 
• have young children or are pregnant  
• a smoker

We can give advice, provide smoke alarms where appropriate and put you in touch with other useful organisations.
