East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is winding down its operation at the site of flooding in Newhaven.

We were called at 13.38 on Tuesday 17 January 2023 to Denton Road. The area remains affected by flooding and residents are asked to follow instructions and guidance from the agencies who remain at the scene.

We would like to thank our partners including Sussex Police, Environment Agency, East Sussex Highways and Lewes District Council, and West Sussex Fire and Rescue who attended with its High Volume Pump while ours was deployed at flooding in Hastings.
