At approximately 06:53 on 6th October 2024, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service responded to a road traffic collision at Church Street, Seaford. A car had crashed through the glass window of a shopfront, impacting another parked vehicle.
Fire crews arrived swiftly at the scene, and after assessing the situation, it was confirmed that no persons were trapped.
There was no structural damage to the building beyond the shop window and frames.
Crews worked with the police to ensure scene safety and assisted in liaising with building control regarding the building’s condition.
The incident was safely resolved by 07:27, and no casualties were reported.
The cause of the accident is under police investigation.
