We were called at 07:11 this morning to a residential fire on Southbourne Road, Eastbourne at a semi-detached property.
2 appliances from Eastbourne were in quick attendance and crews used BA and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire on the ground floor.
One male with minor injuries was taken to hospital in the care of SECAMB.
The cause was believed to be accidental, pending further investigation.
