Date
On Saturday 14 December at 3.17pm, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, with support from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, were called to a road traffic collision and vehicle fire between A23/A27 Westbound towards Devil's Dyke Road and Hove.
Three fire engines were in attendance. One of the vehicles had caught alight and firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire.
Crews also assisted Sussex Police with scene safety.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area due to road closures being put in place and traffic being badly affected both Eastbound and Westbound.
