Whether you've always wanted to be a firefighter or simply want to find out more about this amazing career, East Sussex Fire and Rescue is gearing up to answer your questions in a series of special online events.
It will be recruiting wholetime (full time) firefighters this year and wants to encourage as many people as possible to get in touch.
Assistant Director of Safer Communities Matt Lloyd said:
"Being a firefighter is a career, not just a job, and every day will be different. It's more than responding to emergencies, it's about having a place at the heart of our community."
Our doors are open to everyone.
Firefighters come in all ages, shapes and sizes. While you do have to be physically fit, good technique can really help.
Through training, you’ll learn how to tackle physical tasks correctly and, above all safely. Your natural physical build could be your strength when it comes to certain situations, like being small and agile enough to manoeuvre in tight spaces.

There are huge benefits to having firefighters with different ways of thinking, and who have had different experiences in life.
Not only does it help make sure our work reflects the communities we serve, but we find better solutions, and increase innovation and creativity.
