East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) is pleased to announce the addition of two new members, Luke and Dave, to our dedicated team of on-call firefighters. Both have successfully completed their two-week Core Skills training and have now officially passed out as on-call firefighters.
Luke and Dave have demonstrated exceptional commitment and determination throughout their training. Their hard work and dedication have equipped them with the necessary knowledge and expertise to support the vital work of ESFRS in ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities.
As on-call firefighters, Luke and Dave will play an essential role in responding to emergencies, helping to protect lives and property across East Sussex. Their training and passion for serving the public make them invaluable additions to the team.

Both Luke and Dave are excited to begin their new roles and are eager to continue learning and developing as firefighters. They bring enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong sense of duty to their positions, and ESFRS is confident they will be an asset to the service and the local community.
The addition of Luke to Hailsham and Dave to Burwash strengthens ESFRS's commitment to maintaining high standards of service and ensuring that our fire crews are equipped and ready to respond to emergencies at a moment’s notice.
